The Construction

of Engineered Wood Floor

The Construction of Engineered Wood

The Construction of Engineered Wood

1. Top Layer:

The veneer is made from solid hardwood up to 4mm thick, using a beautiful and durable species such as European Oak. Walnut etc.

2. Top Coat:

The top coat is a lacquer, applied in either matt or gloss finish.

3. Middle Layer:

The core is constructed from multiple layers of softwood such as Spruce and Pine. This adds strength and stability to the floor.

4. Bottom Layer:

The base layer is fixed at 90deg to the core, this is also made from softwood and gives extra stability along the full length plank.

Royal Parquet hardwood floors are made using engineered wood, an innovative modern construction technique. Royal Parquet floors look identical to solid wood floors, sound the same underfoot, and are just as long-lasting and durable. However, they have three key advantages over traditional solid wood floors.

As the name suggests, they are constructed from a single, solid plank – the same species is used throughout.. With engineered wood flooring, only the top layer is made of a hardwood like oak, walnut or maple, providing the coveted beauty and durability of solid wood floors. The layers below this are built up using faster growing softwoods, laid at right angles to each other.

This layered construction method results in a more environmentally friendly floor, using less of the world’s  natural resources: scarcer, slow-growing hardwoods. It also provides a floor with increased stability that doesn’t expand or contract. This guarantees  a perfectly fitted floor that won’t warp or bend upwards over time.

Customise the natural beauty of this wood

Jura Compact was specially designed to make it possible for you to install hardwood floors that are high quality, at a low cost. Owing it to its High-Density Fibreboard (HDF) core, Jura Compact floors hold up better against moisture, making your floors less likely to expand or contract with water damage or changes in humidity.

Manufactured using a classic, clean grade of European Oak wood, Jura Compact’s top layer is made of beautiful natural hardwood, and the bottom layer is made of softwood; all compressed together to make a strong and solid flooring option. Jura Compact also offers you a “uni-click” installation mechanism, providing you with an easier and faster way to lay your flooring.
Moreover, after consistent testing, Jura Compact scores high on performance, durability and, of course, affordability.

Jura Compact floors are fully customisable, they come in different styles and designs. Make your selection from a range of single planks or herringbone parquetry and mix and match from all 40 colours in the Royal Parquet palette to create your unique flooring design.

Boa Hybrid will give your bathroom and kitchen the natural look, feel, sound, and charm of real wood, but with 100% protection from water spills and major leaks, so you don’t have to worry about damaging your floor.

Boa hybrid floors have been tested to withstand humidity and changes in temperatures to ensure they won’t warp or crack. This makes them the ideal flooring solution for homes and businesses in the Middle East. You won’t find wood floors like these anywhere else in the region.

The rigid core is the highlight of this Hybrid wood product because it offers the strength needed at an affordable price. More than this, this floor is made from a strong mixture of limestone and PVC that not only resists water and the damage it may cause but acts as a protective layer against wood mites and even bacteria.

Your Superior look and feel

Imagine French Oak stretched across your living area, producing that enchanting flavour to your home. Now, imagine it at a cost you can afford.

Introducing Bernera floors, made from French Oak. The Bernera floors are in high demand for their super clean look and consistent shades, especially in lighter colours.

What makes this hardwood not only beautiful and elegant is the nature of the wood itself: it is high in tannins. This biomolecule helps absorb colour with a resultant natural-looking stain and finish. With the range of colours offered by Royal Parquet’s EVOLVE range, any colour you choose will have a better-looking quality than other woods with a lower tannin level, which often leads to blotchiness and unwanted patches.

There are several advantages in opting for French Oak wood flooring. The number-one benefit is its durability, especially in heavy-traffic areas.

The Bernera floors are available in two wood grades: Supreme and Classic.
